Abstract: This paper studied the ethical impact of emergent technology on the educational sector. This has become necessary considering the facts that the entire world is shifting to a digital age. As the entire world continues to transform, so also are teaching and learning. Advances in technology have changed everything about man. In both developing and developed countries today, different services and communications are taken place in every second. This advancement needs a variety of resources to make it workable and more effective. In the present age, technology has become imperative such that it is seen that man cannot do without it. This technology has transformed virtually everything about man, thereby performing task that ordinarily man should do. With the advent of digital technology, classroom activities becomes easier for both teachers and students to personalize lessons, instructions, and projects for each student or group. This development has raised concern among scholars as many opined have raised some ethical concerns such as possibility of job losses, Potential Misuse of Technology, Digital Divide and Inequality, Ethical Design and Decision-Making and Environmental Impact. The researchers therefore, recommend that There should be ethical considerations to ensure privacy protection, data security and transparency in how technology operates within education sector. Technology should be designed and implemented in such a manner that all members of the community are given equal access and considerations and there should be a routine audits and assessment to checkmate the biases that may arise from AI algorithms.
