Abstract: Criminalistics, another name for forensic science, is the application of science to civil and criminal law, particularly in criminal investigations conducted under criminal procedure. Forensic evidence is the evidence used in the court of law, which is attained by scientific methods such as DNA, fingerprint, entomology, ballistics etc. It is employed in both criminal and civil investigations and prosecutions. This Article is on “Application of Forensic Evidence in Bangladesh: Combined DNA Index System promotes a new hope”. It outlines the forensic evidence and forensic expert. It addresses the conceptual concerns pertaining to forensic evidence and talks about its limitations and extent. The Combined DNA Index System’s rules for guiding a suspect’s polygraph exam are also covered. It demonstrates the use of modern forensic evidence to convict and exonerate individuals convicted of crimes they never ever considered committing. It aims at to meet up the want of institutional mechanism establishing a nexus among Police, Judges, Lawyers and Forensic Experts to the application of Forensic Evidence in aid of Justice through Combined DNA Index System (CODIS)in Bangladesh.
